While travelling from Jo'burg to Cape Town (1400km) we stopped over night at Gariep to break the long road trip. The Gariep Dam is the largest storage reservoir in SA, approx surface area of 370km2. It also has a hydro electric plant..

The road across the dam wall was blocked off for repair. I tried my best to scale the fence and take a shot from the dam wall but was unsuccessful.

I'll be back taking more night shots shortly :-)

. I tried to remain on the right side of the law until joining S/C, but I've seen the wonderful results of crossing the forbidden fence.

Do you have the tools to straighten a horizon? If not go to the google website and download Picasa2 for free. Its straightening tool is very easy to use.

I see there are 3 girls trying to lead you off the straight and narrow. Mmmm.
