Things like this blow my mind, Michelle. I wonder how long it's been doing this balancing act?!
Michelle: Ginnie I tried to find out how long it's been around however I cannot find any info. What I did find out is that Balanced rock sits ontop a pedalstal, the pedalstal is about 55 feet from ground level. Balanced rock is about 100 feet high (3 school buses high) and has a circumference of 100 feet. Since 1970, 42 arches have collapsed. There was a smaller Balanced rock called "chip off the old block" which fell in the winter of 1976. Ginnie I hope you and donica have a wonderful weekend
I like the contrast between the balanced rock and the beautiful blue sky.
I think you better not stand under this rock.
Michelle: Thank you Remi The sky colour was amazing and a good contrast to the red rock! I agree, I did not think it wise to get to close, as yes, it could roll off it's pedelstal!
Michelle I love the forground, but just look in the background at the rock that looks like it is also balancing. Great shot I am so jealous of your trip. WICKED
Michelle: Thank you mijn vriend . Enjoy your weekend!!! I would love to visit the Utah and the Arches Park again.
